Ep. 13 - Lama Lhanang
This is episode 13, recorded on May 13, 2021.
My guest today is Lama Lhanang Rinpoche.
Lama Lhanang Rinpoche is a teacher and meditation master in the Tibetan Buddhist Nyingma lineage.
The Sang Long Monastery in eastern Tibet recognized Lama Lhanang as the rebirth of Ken Rinpoche Damcho, one of 25 disciples of Padmasambhava, who lived in the 8th century and is known as the 2nd Buddha.
We learn about Lama Lhanang’s life growing up in the monastery, how he lived for years as a homeless wandering monk – meditating in sacred caves and living off the land, before becoming a precious teacher.
We also learn why great Lamas do not use their special powers to change the weather and other events in the world.
Rinpoche is the spiritual leader of Jigme Lingpa Center in San Diego – whose mission is world peace through inner peace.
It’s Not What You Think with Mordy Levine is where we get to meet and talk to spiritual teachers from around the world.
Our guests are from all walks of life and we hear about how they got into spirituality, and how they navigate the world we all live in.
